Firekeeper is an 8-month facilitator training in the art and science of embodied masculine leadership. It's for the man who wants to lead from his core, facilitate powerful experiences, step into his purpose, and offer his deepest gifts in the world.

You'll be challenged, sharpened, and supported by a circle of men on the leadership path, and receive world-class guidance and training from the Thirteen Pines team.

Firekeeper is both a forge for deep personal transformation, and an apprenticeship in the ways of embodied masculine leadership.

A Firekeeper is a man who's felt the call to lead – and has the courage to answer it. He's felt the power of this work – the depth, the aliveness, the brotherhood – and he's ready to guide other men through the kind of experiences that changed him.

But he knows to become the leader he's here to be, there's more in him to be refined...

He knows that real leadership asks him to keep growing – to meet his edge, to train, study, practice, and to keep stepping into the fire of his own becoming.

He’s drawn to mentors who’ve walked this path for years, and to the company of good men who challenge and support him to rise.

A Firekeeper is ready for his own initiation into embodied masculine leadership – to develop the confidence and skill to hold powerful spaces where men come alive, open their hearts, and remember who they are.

Traditionally, a firekeeper’s role was to keep the sacred fire burning.


Here, it’s to tend the fire within – and learn how to awaken it in the hearts of men.

HOW THIS PROGRAM WORKS

Firekeeper is an immersive, experiential training program that combines live online training, practice, and small groups, with in-person retreats and real-world leadership experience.

PRACTICE

CALLS

These calls are your space to facilitate in real time while being sharpened and supported by the leaders and other men in the group. You’ll receive live feedback to help you refine your presence and deepen your skill as a facilitator.

TRAINING

CALLS

These are the core training calls led by the Thirteen Pines team. You’ll be guided through the foundations of transformational men’s work and trained in everything you need to become a confident, capable facilitator.

ASSISTING

Few trainings offer this level of hands-on experience. By assisting at our two retreats, you’ll step into leadership alongside the Thirteen Pines team – witnessing, supporting, and learning what it truly takes to hold powerful transformational space for men.

FIRETEAM MEETINGS

As part of your training, you’ll be placed in a Fireteam – a small group of brothers led by a graduate of the Firekeeper program. This is where the work gets personal. It’s a space to be real, meet your edge, and grow with the support and accountability of your brothers.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

16 LIVE TRAINING CALLS

The core of your training will be delivered via 16 two-hour live training calls. You'll learn how to create and guide practices, hold powerful spaces, build sacred containers, organize retreats and workshops, and more.

2 IN-PERSON RETREATS

Your Firekeeper journey is grounded in two four-day retreats where you'll deepen your practice, meet your edges, step into the fire of initiation, and embody the leader you are here to be.

FIREKEEPER SMALL GROUPS

You'll have a core group of men for support, accountability, and reflection throughout the training.

THE FIREKEEPER HANDBOOK

You'll be provided with an in-depth facilitation manual to support your journey. This will provide you with core practices, frameworks, and principles you can adapt and apply wherever your path takes you.

THE LODGE ONLINE COMMUNITY

You'll have free access to our online community, which has a library of workshops and practices. We also run a bi-weekly online Men's Circle if you want more opportunities to engage with us, or see how we lead these spaces.

BEHIND THE SCENES ACCESS

You'll have opportunities to observe select practice and retreat planning sessions for a behind the scenes experience of how we do things at Thirteen Pines.

ASSISTANT OPPORTUNITIES

Firekeepers have the opportunity to assist with the in-person retreats. You'll get first-hand experience in creating sacred spaces and insight into the running of a large-scale men's work event.

FOUNDATIONS LEADERSHIP

Our nine-week online men's program, Foundations, is included in your tuition. You'll also have opportunities to assist in mentoring other participants in the program. Foundations is optional.

CRAFTING YOUR OFFERING

You'll receive guidance and feedback to create your unique offering for men so you can start applying what you learn and making an impact immediately.

In Firekeeper, you won't learn the same cookie cutter scripts and techniques common in other trainings.

We want to give you a powerful personal experience of transformation and the tangible skills and understandings that would allow you to make art out of your unique gifts in the world of embodied men’s work.

You'll learn the frameworks, systems, and principles of masculine leadership as well as the energetics of leading from the depth of who you are.

Understand the purpose and principles of men's work – what it is, why it matters, and how to facilitate transformational spaces for men.

  • Creating and Holding a Strong Container

Whether it's a men's circle, online workshop, or in-person retreat, you'll learn proven frameworks for holding space and creating a powerful container.

  • Fundamentals of Transformational Facilitation

Learn the core principles and practices of transformational facilitation. Develop the skills and awareness needed to guide people on a journey.

  • Essential Frameworks, Modalities, and Practices

Learn to confidently and safely facilitate transformational practices such as shadow work, inner-child work, breath work, archetype work, and embodiment work.

  • Structuring and Leading Practices for Others

You'll also receive training in how to craft and guide practices for others, as well as real-life experience in leading practices.

  • Crafting and Offering Your Unique Gift

You'll receive support and feedback to build and refine the unique vision of what you’re here to bring to the world.

  • Sharpening Your Sword of Leadership

You’ll put your leadership and facilitation skills into action while receiving feedback from mentors and peers to refine your craft.

Firekeeper is led by the men's organization Thirteen Pines, seasoned facilitators with 30+ years of combined experience in men's work, masculine embodiment, rites of passage, shadow work, polarity and intimacy, somatic release, and more.

APPLICATION PROCESS

HOW TO APPLY

A $500 deposit is required to begin your application and interview process.

When you click 'Apply Now' you will be directed to a questionnaire, after which, you'll be invited to an interview with one of the Thirteen Pines team.

If you are accepted into the program, your deposit will be put towards your tuition.

If either party decides it is not a good fit, your deposit will be fully refunded. Either way, there's zero risk.

Do I need to have experience leading men's work to join Firekeeper?

No. You don't need specific leadership experience. The training is for men who want to become leaders or refine and sharpen their leadership.

What experience do I need to join this program?

There are no set requirements. Some men will have been to a retreat or two, others will have been involved in this work for years. This is why we have an application and interview process. Your intention and commitment matter more than your experience. If you feel called to lead men, you're encouraged to apply.

How many hours per week will this require?

Roughly 3-5 hours per week. You'll have two-hour live calls every second week, weekly small group commitments, personal practice, and assignments.

Are the live training calls mandatory?

Yes, the calls are an essential part of your training and attendance is required. Exceptions can be made in extreme circumstances and calls are recorded. However, we expect a high degree of commitment from Firekeepers.

Are the retreats included in Firekeeper?

Yes, the two in-person retreats are included. However, travel and accommodation are not. In the past, we've helped men with booking shared accommodation to keep costs down. We'll provide more guidance around this closer to the time.

Do I have to attend the retreats?

Yes, the retreats are an important part of the Firekeeper experience. This is where the teaching and training really comes to life. You don't want to miss them. Exceptions may be made in extreme circumstances.

How is Firekeeper different from other facilitator trainings?

Four key points. 1. You get to train under three experienced, highly sought-after men's work facilitators and coaches, each with his own strengths and leadership styles. 2. You'll be trained in the art (energetics) and science (systems and principles) of embodied masculine leadership. Most trainings focus on one or the other. 3. You'll have several opportunities to step into leadership and assistant roles during the program, helping you to apply and embed the training in real time. 4. Firekeeper is more than a facilitator training, it's an initiation into embodied masculine leadership.

Why is a deposit required to apply?

This is a signal of commitment and intention. It helps to ensure that only men who are serious about joining Firekeeper make it to the interview stage. The deposit will be refunded if you aren't accepted or choose not to join Firekeeper and will be put towards your tuition if you are accepted.

Is there a money back guarantee?

No, the application and interview process will ensure you're committed and a good fit for the Firekeeper program. If you do have to pull out for personal reasons or in exceptional circumstances, you can let us know and we'll treat it on a case-by-case basis.
